Blue-eyed grass selection with grassy, upright foliage and numerous small, starry blue-violet flowers, each with a yellow eye. Despite its common name, it is a small iris relative rather than a true grass and fits well along paths, in meadow-style plantings, and at pond margins. Prefers full sun to light shade and moist, well-drained soils, especially in spring and early summer.
