Rosette-forming succulents that range in colors from chartreuse green to purples, reds and bronze tones. Once a rosette has reached maturity, it will send a flowering stalk of reddish purple, star-shaped blooms before dying back. 

Prefers average, dry to medium well drained soil. Drought tolerant when established. Tolerant of dry soil, poor soil and sandy soils. Intolerant of wet areas. Deer resistant.
