Hardy to zone 6! This Southwestern US native, also called Artichoke Agave, is a standout that forms a perfect rosette of silver-blue rounded leaves tipped with burgundy-bronze spines. A slow grower, it adds texture and beauty to containers, rock gardens, and any other sunny well-drained garden. Once fully mature, up to 25 years, it will send an incredibly tall flower spike. Although the agave does die after flowering, it produces a new generation of young rosettes that's emerge around and eventually grow to form the new mature agave.
